Guest Post – Micro Condo

< inspo home

Brazilian architect Alan Chu was approached by his recently divorced friend to help him remodel a 388 square feet micro condo located near Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo City where it was soon to be his “man cave”.

Chu used pinewood that imitate storage crates as the unifying element throughout the condo. The boxes have a variety of functions; media storage, pantry and buffet. One of them, suspended from the ceiling hides the mezzanine structure and acts as an entry way to the second floor holding a black metallic spiral staircase.[scrollGallery id=90]

Using pops of red on the main level, a retro looking fridge and a day bed as the sofa this bachelor pad doesn’t lack in style. Clutter free, spacious and functional this loft is the perfect transitional home for Chu’s newly divorcee friend.
