This week for our colour feature, I staged a vignette inspired by Pantone Marsala – the colour of the year!
For this kitchen vignette, I wanted to bring out a vibrant wine undertone in this colour. On top of the grey table runner are Marsala coloured placemats and napkins. The floral centerpiece adds a touch of freshness, and also has this deep wine colour in it. The art is the perfect piece because the other colours can be pulled out to easy transform the space. The butcher block counter is a versatile option, as it’s extendible, and perfect for cooking and seating. I used the bamboo bar stools because they pick up on the light and dark tones in the renewed pallet wall. I added a chalkboard because I think it adds interest to a typically neutral space in the home! It’s fun and functional. We love that the look has touches of the Marsala colour, but isn’t too literal.
We hope we inspired you to try Marsala in your home!
