How to Style a Picture Ledge

< inspo home

We wanted to feature a way to display art and collected items in your small living space. Here’s how to style a picture ledge to utilize your square footage!

We love the minimalist look of picture ledges. You can buy them in many depths to fit assorted frames or curated items. We love these ones available at Ikea!

We like the look of gallery walls, but think they’re getting a little tired. They can be done really well, but the clustered look can be distracting. We think a more linear, clean way of displaying multiple pieces of art is with a picture ledge! We love these two examples. They’re mostly black and white art pieces, with an accent colour. These creates a very strong wall!

We LOVE these uses of picture ledges. Curated items look great gathered on one wall space. The graphic pieces on the left look great together, as does the vintage camera collection on the right.

PictureLedge_magazines

We love buying print magazines! There’s some amazing content and photography in magazines, and they often hidden in a storage box. We think these beauties should be displayed! Layering up your favourite magazines adds interest to a room and is a lot cheaper than buying original art.

We love the intensity of these black and white rooms. The dark walls really make the art on the ledges pop. Simple black and white images or typography prints look best on these walls.

We can’t wait to try these options out! What would you put on your picture ledge?
