Entryway Styling

< inspo home

The entryway is such an important part of the home – it’s the first thing you see! This spot is often overlooked. We created layout ideas for condo/apartment sized living spaces. We hope these tips and tricks for entryway styling inspire you to create a beautiful space.

Entryway1

We love vintage telephone tables! It’s like two pieces of furniture in one – a small desk for accessories and keys, and a seat for putting shoes on! We spruced it up by adding an art print, a mirror for last minute outfit checks, and a pendant lamp as hallways are often times lacking lighting.

Entryway2

For this second entryway, we played with patterns and colours. This cabinet is a perfect place to store extra shoes, tote bags for grocery shopping, or anything you want hidden from sight. We added an art print, with matching colourful fresh-cut flowers, a vintage chair with an easy DIY pillow (created from Sharpies!). This round mirror ties in the vintage feel of this design.

For the third option, we chose fun and bold decor. This vintage bench is great to use for extra seating when guests are over, the DIY pillows make a second appearance here in darker colour, the Ikea coatrack is so affordable, and picks up the pillow colours. We love gallery walls for a fun space like this. Photography and graphic prints are available from Etsy, we love supporting local artists! The frames are a collection of frames from Ikea, and are affordable and easy to install.

We think the key things to include in an entryway are:

  • a seating option
  • a piece of art
  • textiles (pillow, rug, part of the furniture)
  • plants or flowers to add something fresh

The rest is up to you! You can play around with desk lamps, floor lamps, shoe shelves, vases, accessories, fairy lights, the options are endless! What are key pieces you like to include in your entryway?
