We had an initial meeting with the contractors and my incredibly talented kitchen guy. It’s so exciting. Our family basically lives in the kitchen. Christmas at our house is usually 20 – 25 people crammed in the kitchen. So why not build a kitchen that they all can fit in. Walls will come down, huge windows to enjoy the view, and patio doors that disappear to bring the outdoors in. They estimate between 2 – 3 months. Hmmm???? I think they are being optimistic. The kitchen will definitely be mid-toned wood with white counters. The grain must be horizontal and limited uppers. The island so far is a generous 16’. Wow. That should accommodate the family.
