Hurray! It is officially ours! Jordan came through today for the first time and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, she is all about the retro feel and doesn’t want us to change anything. Oh-oh! Design wars!

I signed off on the kitchen design this morning. It is going to be so great! No uppers. I dream come true for a vertically challenged person.

My first design challenge is to somehow make the not-quite-in-the-centre fireplace appear to be symmetrical. I think I have it. I’ll keep you posted.

The plan was to have an evening in our new house before the reno’s started but we just couldn’t wait. Yes, we had the wine but we also had tools!
