Green Reno

We have tried our best to make our renovation decisions to support our basic “green” philosophy. We interviewed several companies providing insulation and although it was more costly, we went with the environmentally friendly product.

Other things we have chosen are:

• heat pump vs. furnace, low voltage lights (by local company Contrast lighting – not trucking across the country),
• efficient plumbing hardware (Hansgrohe makes the best),
• decking material made entirely out of recycled plastic bags
• new windows with high R ratings
