Every July for 2 subsequent weekends (This year the dates are July 10-11th and July 17-18th) there is a most incredible art show in White Rock! A multitude of amazing artist – of varied mediums – set up shop nestled in the trees on the property of the Arnold Mikelson gallery located at 13743 16th Avenue. It is such a find for anyone looking for new art or just inspiration. The selection is amazing and prices are very reasonable. There were a couple of artists that were the highlight for me:
- An emerging artist named Nicole Carrie www.nicolecarrie.com. She has only been painting for 4 years and her work is awesome. Most of her work is done in acrylic but I can see some other mediums coming into the mix.
- Oh my, Ed Pretty, really inspired me! He is a woodturner extraordinaire! What a combination of craftsman and artist. I can’t wait until we move and I am going have at least one piece of his work in our new home. He is from Langely 604-888-5967 email efpretty@shaw.ca. Well worth the drive.
