From Oct 11th-14th BC Place becomes the home of the Vancouver Home+Design Show. Make sure you check out the event because there will be some really interesting people and projects happening during the show. One of the projects we are the most inspired by is the 2012 Ultimate Up-cycle Challenge. Close to our hearts, with the focus on recycling,  this project gathered 5 of Vancouver’s most prominent DIY bloggers and gave them each $100 to re-purpose and old piece of furniture bought from the Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver’s ReStore. The designers were challenged to use paint, tools and creativity to re-work their pieces and some of  the results are pretty cute!

There are also some noteworthy designers you can check out at the show  including local interior designer Julian Harris, and HGTV’s Bryan Baeumler.
