Bonnie Brooks Art – collage 1

Bonnie Brooks, top “man” for our wonderfully revamped Hudson’s Bay Co., was featured in this month’s issue of Canadian House and Home (page 54). After a full renovation her space is an interesting & eclectic mix of modern, global and transitional. With the help of her designer, Jill Kantelberg, this transformation was executed with the same perfection as her vision for “The Bay.”

The thing that caught my eye the most was a large piece of art in the dining room by Chinese artist, Chen Yu. It’s bold, strong and definitely a signature piece. And I wish it were in my dining room. Flipping the pages I noticed that she has a second piece by the same artist. Another interesting décor detail is the Hudson Bay crested pillow shams in one of the bedrooms.

All in all I loved the feeling of the property. It has a warm and homey feel. I am sure Bonnie enjoys returning from a very busy schedule to this lovely environment.
