Some time ago I wrote a post about the three criteria to ensure a speedy and successful sale. Those were:

We have many examples of properties that have been on the market for some time and then have successfully sold in a short period of time after having the property professionally staged.
I wanted to share another example of the importance of having all three criteria met. We were privileged to be contracted to prepare an amazing new build for a developer. The place looked great, the price seemed appropriate but the realtor was a bit of an unknown. The property sat on the market for 1 year without any offers. At that point a new experienced realtor was hired and within a week there were multiple offers.
My recommendation to any property owner is do your home work. When choosing your realtor ensure that he/she is giving you the correct price, has a database of purchaser, a strong marketing plan and is committed to the sale. When choosing a staging company study their website and see if there quality and style suite your property.
