If you are in the city this holiday season, be sure to grab your loved ones and check out these exciting local activities!
Grouse Mountain – Christmas has arrived at the top of this local mountain. Meet one of Santa’s reindeer “Prancer”, go ice skating outdoors, have breakfast with Santa until the 24th, or play in the snow at the top of the mountain! These are only a few of the many Christmas activities happening right now, be sure to take the gondola up and check it out!
Vancouver Christmas Market – for the fourth year in a row at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza the authentic German Christmas Market is happening right now. Enjoy yummy treats and drinks, browse the little wooden huts for Christmas gifts, and even take a ride on the carousel.
Van Dusen Botanical Gardens – Festival of Lights is on now, view the schedule here. Play on the candy cane express train, take a photo with Santa, and have dinner at the Shaughnessy Restaurant (be sure to make a reservation!).
Capilano Suspension Bridge – Capilano Canyon Lights is happening right now, this is a local favourite and currently has the world’s tallest living Christmas tree at a whopping 152 feet! Enjoy thousands of glittering lights in the forest, activities for the little ones, and the brand new “Cliffwalk”.
Stanley Park – Bright Nights Christmas Train is one of my favourites, you are surrounded by three million twinkling lights as you cruise through the forest while sipping your hot apple cider or cocoa. Be sure to buy tickets online before as it is a very popular event and is usually sold out!
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
