Marcus and Sherry Renovate Their West End Condo

I had the pleasure of meeting Sherry & Marcus a couple of years ago when we staged their beautiful West Van home in preparation for sale.  They had designed and built the home and I must say it was gorgeous.  Their next project was to renovate an amazing condo in the West End.  It was a dated but spacious 3 bedroom with a killer view and great location.  They hired Flüff to assist with space planning and choosing finishings.  Together we turned a 3 bedroom large (but chopped up) space into a gorgeous open floor plan with 2 luxurious bedrooms, an ensuite to die for and a large walk in closet.  The space is inviting & warm and the flow is so much better.  Sherry came with an inspiration – the colours of a peacock feather.  I love it when clients have a kick off point.  She also has a collection of antique appliances that gives the home personality.

 They both LOVE colour and having a neutral pale grey background gave them lots of room to play with colour. (Are you surprised I would recommend grey?)  Sherry fell in love with the emerald fabric and had her antique dining chairs upholstered in it.  She then found a great fixture for the dining area that replicated the designer perfectly.  Good choice Sherry!   The built-ins and millwork was done to perfection.  The TV is hidden out of site and the doors of the office space close up and one would never know there is a functioning office behind those doors.  Pops of colour continue throughout including what Sherry calls her “woman cave”.  There is also an amazing piece of art in the entrance way that sets the tone for the journey throughout their home.  (I think it may be a Bobbie Burgess original.)

It was a joy to work alongside this innovative, talented couple.  They had a vision and with a little help they succeeded in implementing their dream to perfection.  Thank you Sherry and Marcus for having us be part of this amazing adventure.
