Here I go again. I think there should be a 12 step program for renovation addiction.
When I was doing the renovation on the rancher in North Vancouver last year I fell in love with the neighbour’s house. I suggested that if they ever wanted to sell it I would love the opportunity to put my “touch” on it.
One year later and they were ready to sell. We don’t get possession until mid July so there’s lots of time to plan.
It’s a mid-century modern home custom build for the previous owner in the early 50’s. It has been well cared for but definitely in need of a little TLC.
I really want to embrace the flavour of this home yet bring it into the millennium. I have lots of ideas and am sure that they will change before July. Check back for updates.

Hi Kristen. Do you think it’s sacrilege to paint out the ceiling? It has a bit of a green tone that I’m not too crazy about.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing – how exciting! I’m curious though, since the wood slat wall opposite the front door doesn’t go up to the ceiling, I’m wondering what’s behind that wall? Wish I could have a tour through the house before and after you work your magic.
