Well like any renovation, there have been some surprises – some good and some not so
good.
We did get the dishwasher removed from it’s peculiar location and removed the
portion of the cabinets to accommodate the new dishwasher position. (Good news!)
There was a leak from the dishwasher hook-up that we did not notice until the next day.
(Bad news) As a result, a portion of the ceiling in the room below had to be removed and it’s lathe and plaster. If anyone has dealt with L & P you know what I’m talking about. It’s not easy.
In the process, there was a small amount of mould discovered. (Bad news and good news. It was only a small amount)
On the upside, the painter has started to turn the last century brown exterior into a this
century grey exterior – Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal HC 166. I’m thrilled! It’s going
to look so much nicer. This definitely is good news!
Last week, Rick and I had a Friday night date at Home Depot to buy a bathtub and some other exciting items.
