We are excited about the upcoming long weekend. It gives us a chance to get to do a few craft projects we’ve been wanting to do for a while!
Here are some of our favourite inexpensive art projects we’re going to try out this weekend. Are you working on any art projects? Tell us about it in the comments below and share photos of your creations.
Taped off Geometric Canvas Prints
- Tape off a geometric pattern with painters tape
- Paint with different colours in between the taped lines
- Let fully dry
- Remove tape and voila!

Artsy Ceramics
Add some pizzazz to your ceramic vases, plates, (mugs too!) with ceramic markers. They come in an array of colours and create a professional finish.
Apartment Therapy’s Pet Art
We absolutely loved this art idea that fellow design blog Apartment Therapy posted! Pop art pet art! Could it get any better? We can’t wait to try this project.

Crayon Melted Art
This crayon project is very popular on Pinterest! It’s bright, beautiful and the supplies are relatively inexpensive.
