And I LOVE it!
I’ve been looking for a large format piece of art since we moved to our new house (we’ve been there for 3 years so you know how successful I have been). I knew I would recognize it when it “showed” up. And it did in a most peculiar way.
My daughter, Jordan, was showing her photography at an outdoor art show a few weeks back. While visiting her, wanted to see what the other artists were showing. When I saw this art I was stopped dead in my tracks.
I was so drawn to the piece but didn’t want to make any impulsive decisions. The artist wasn’t even physically there. He had a rather rudimentary sign on a piece of cardboard with his phone number.
After a couple of days of thinking about it, I had to contact him. We arranged for a time to come and see it again, agreed on a price and it’s all history from there.
It barely fit in Rick’s car but we managed. Metro Framers in North Vancouver came to the rescue to finish it off. It now has a thin brushed nickel frame that is perfect.
I had Shane come to help me install it. It was just too big to do myself (it’s 4’ wide x 6’ tall).
It’s the first thing you see when you come in the front door. Every day when I come home, I get great pleasure from seeing it.
It’s amazing how art can impact your life.
