We had the honour and pleasure of being a sponsor for the Dalai Lama’s recent visit to
Vancouver. We sponsored 3 of the venues spoke at: John Oliver school, Vancouver Convention Centre & The Chan Centre at UBC.

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to be present at the Heart-Mind Summit at the Convention Centre. I must say it was definitely a highlight of my life. What an amazing man! His endless dedication to the betterment of humanity through love & compassion is an inspiration to all.

His Holiness has been involved with education in British Columbia since 2005 when he, along with Victor Chan, established the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education. It’s his belief that educating not only the minds of children but also their hearts creates an opportunity for a better society.

Children are taught the importance of getting along with others, being compassionate & kind, to solve problems peacefully, to be secure & calm and to be alert & engaged. This is introduced as young as kindergarten students and continues throughout their entire years in the education system. How lucky for children of British Columbia that they get to experience this aspect of their education along with the regular curriculum.
