This week’s Spring Colour Feature vignette used Pantone Titanium! This deep grey tone pairs nicely to a colour palette of yellow and white. I was inspired to create a tropical-esque space. Here’s what I did: I wanted to create a space that was tropical inspired, but with a modern update. I brought in tropical elements with the oversized palm and aloe plants, the geometric prints, and the bright summery colours. I brought in stark white accessories to brighten up the space, and the dark Titanium colour to ground it. Adding a couple pieces of chrome brought in a polished element to the look. I didn’t want to bring in too many textures as the prints speak for themselves. I brought in a chunky knit rug, textural art, vases, and played up the texture in the wall.

I wanted this space to have a happy feel, the feeling you get when you arrive to a vacation destination. Creating a relaxing space is absolutely necessary at home. There are enough external stresses in the world – your home should be your own oasis!
