We think interior trends are greatly influenced by fashion.  We’ve read what Vogue France had to say about Spring Trends for 2015 and compiled our favourite fashion looks with accompanying interior accessories.

We think it’s important to support small businesses, ones that use locally foraged supplies to make their products, ones that are involved with customers, and very passionate about their product! We’ve decided to source interior accessories from Etsy.com to support these great artisans. Being that we have a handmade pillow line, we chose uniquely made toss cushions as our accessory. Hippy Deluxe

We love this trend, “hippy deluxe”. We love the faded colours, and aztek-esque patterns. This particular ikat printed pillow matches the trend perfectly. It has the colour and pattern found on Vogue France! You can find the pillow here.

Nautical

The nautical trend seems to come back each spring. Navy and white colours lend nicely to the lines and shapes that arrive come springtime. This year, the trend seems to have a more linear, minimal feel to it. We’ve sourced a great nautical pillow on Etsy. The colours lend to the trend, and the octopus has an oceanic feel without looking like a literal take on sailor style (gold buttons, stripes, anchors, etc).

Mix and Match

I am personally quite fond of the mix and match trend. It’s not for everybody, but if done right, I think it looks great. The fashion pieces look great as they colourblocked the prints with neutral colours. The Etsy pillow we found mixed three brightly printed fabrics together. Although they are all busy prints, they work perfectly because they carry the same colours throughout.

Polka Dot

We love using polka dots here at Fluff, as they create a fun and quirky feel to a room. We love these bold dotted prints the fashion designs found on Vogue France used. The pillow we found has dots in different sizes, all in a smaller scale, which creates a sophisticated look.

Pop Art

This bold pop art print trend is a sure way to add interest to a space. These graphic colour blocks look great in fashion, and interiors! We’ve found two quirky pillows on Etsy that we adore. The “P is for Pop Art” pillow was found here and the lips were found here.
