Colourful kitchens are emerging yet again – and we love it! Whether you choose to do an accent wall, a countertop, or full cabinetry, there’s an option for everyone.

Go big or go home! We love this yellow cabinetry which pairs perfectly with grey. This colour pairing is truly timeless, so it’s a great option for doing coloured cabinets! You can even find options from IKEA here.

We love the idea of bringing pattern into the kitchen. We’ve never seen anything like these geometric printed kitchens. They’re fun, yet polished and modern. Tempaper is a great, and temporary, way to bring pattern in.

A simple way to bring colour into the kitchen is to buy, or DIY, colourful stools. We love the industrial yellow metal ones in the left image (find similar ones here) , and the painted wooden ones in the right. This is a great way to test out a colour in the home. And, if you get sick of it, an easy thing to switch out.

We love the idea of doing a colourful backsplash or shelving. These colours could brighten up any space!

We’re kind of obsessed with kitchens with a wash of colour. These blue tones are relaxing and look great with crisp white, grey, and mid-tone walnut wood like in the right image.
Although this may seem like daring decor move, we promise that bringing colour into the home can work really well! Remember to balance it out with neutral tones, use the right application for your home (lots of colour in small space can seem more overwhelming than in a larger, open-concept home), and try out patterns if colour isn’t your thing!
