This years Met Gala theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology”, and boy do we love it! We think there’s going to be tons of interiors inspired by the Met Gala. Here’s a peek into the trends:
DARK JEWEL TONES
Katy Perry was a knock-out in this Prada gown. The dark black and deep jewel tones are a perfect combination, especially with the gold detailing. Try mixing in gold and jewel toned accent pieces!
MUTED METALLICS
Kim and Kanye nailed the futurist theme of this years Met Gala. Take a cue from their outfits and bring in muted metallics into your home.
PEARLESCENT
Kardashian sister Kylie Jenner looked great in her beaded pearl gown. We love this pearlescent backsplash. But, if that’s too much of a commitment, try it in smaller doses.
BOLD BLACK
Bold black trim, metallics, and a pop of colour is perfect inspiration for any interior. We love Huma Abedin’s dress so much!
ARCHITECTURAL ANGLES
Gaga’s angular outfit has the perfect palette and lines to inspire architectural design. We love the space in the right image!
ALL-WHITE
Kate Hudson’s Versace dress with silver trim sure matches the all-white trend we’ve been seeing in interiors lately. This all-white Parisian home adds interest by adding neutral and silver contrast, like the dress!
COLOUR MIX
Although we’re seeing a lot of all-white spaces, we’re seeing people embrace colour too! Like we said above, jewel tones are big right now. Mix in deep chocolate leathers and gold accents.
BLACK AND CHROME
Chloe Grace Moretz’s Coach dress is so beautiful, and lends itself nicely to interior design. The all-black with silver tones is so interest and modern looking.
LIGHT AND BRIGHT
Keep your space light and bright, like Jourdan Dunn’s dress. The lightweight look and surface beading are effortless (like this interior space!).
We can’t wait to create interiors inspired by the Met Gala. Which look will you try?
