There’s something so special about Australian design. Well-rounded coastal vibes and mixed prints and colours is what make this country’s interiors pop.
One thing we notice is how expertly used wood is in Australian homes. Mixing high-gloss white against wood gives it a modern feel.
Layering is crucial in any space, and Aussies do this well. Mix coloured and patterned cushions, an array of materials, and add interest at different heights to create a really well-designed space.
The warm brass against the wood makes this feel like a modern version of ’70’s interiors. Wood paneling can be cool.
This beachy home balances light woods and mid-century pieces to create the perfect space! We love that it’s just a nod to mid-century without going overboard.
Wow! This plant-filled bathroom is a jaw-dropper. Every single design element is bang on. We love the huge houseplants, the concrete floors mixed with warm woods, the hardware and lighting, and textiles are all great.
The light brick, mixed wood, dark cabinetry, and rustic dining chairs make this space special. Plus, we love cowhide rugs in the kitchen!
We’re obsessing over chevron floors right now, and they stand out against the black island. The art is a great choice too, as it brings in colour!
We see concrete and wood paired together in a lot of Australian homes. We think this softens up the look of concrete a lot, and creates a zen home.
We can’t wait to hop across the pond to see some Australian design in person. Don’t you think these spaces are amazing too!?
