One of the biggest trends in fashion right now is velvet. We’re seeing it everywhere; from high fashion to affordable online retailers, this trend is dominating our social media feeds. It’s no surprise that we’re seeing this in interiors as well. Take from the Alberta Ferretti collection seen above. The dusty pink velvet looks amazing as a sofa, shown in the right image. Pair it with soft neutrals and interesting textures, like the area rug.

Add a statement piece, like a bootie (or a sofa), to catch people’s eyes. The blue sofa in the right image adds so much interest to an otherwise neutral space.

If you’re feeling more adventures, mix a few colours together. This Sonia Rykiel collection mixes colours perfectly. Remember to stick to one tonal range, so that it doesn’t look distracting. The burnt orange and mustard colour in the right image create a seamlessly decorated space.

We’ve ordered velvet pieces for our inventory at Flüff – will you be coming in to rent it for your next staging project?
